Hi and welcome back! This is another show recorded with Barb, during which we chat about her race and injury, my swimming and biking and generally chit chat away for an hour! We had a few technical problems with Skype so hang on in there on the quality front...it's all good in the end! This will be the show around Christmas so wishing you and yours a good one!

Seriously I end up talking about shoes again (wtf is wrong with me!)?
A quick run home after dropping my car of for a service. I ramble about Newton shoes and switching to fore/mid foot running, swimming form and my lack of it, getting used to my Tri bike seat...hmm a definite run, bike, swim theme. I also talk about the first couple of races of next year and some other stuff that I can't remember as I write this!

In this episode I spend another hour chatting with Barb (Kelownagurl). I tell the stories of my recent races; the Santa Clarita Marathon and the Pacific Crest Trail Runners Santa Monica Mountains 50k. We also talk about Barb's thoughts about race simulations, treadmill running and planning for her marathon plan. Continuing from the last show we continue the discussion about swimming and what is coming up between now and the end of the year.

So in this episode I talk about my last race, the 13.1 Los Angeles race from a couple of weeks ago...it all went rather well. I give you a quick run down on the gear. I discuss my shift to fore/midfoot running and my Imelda Marcos habit! I talk about the Natural Running book that I have just finished and how that is coming into play. I give you a quick lesson on how to pronounce words that end in Shire and the fact that people should say morning when I say morning to them...yes I should have had more coffee!!!

So this week I am back out on the road...running! Yes I seem to be out of the woods with my leg and you join me during a 3 hour long run. I've been pretty much on the bench for two weeks and I would never recommend to anyone to do that but I kinda (hopefully) knew that I could pull it off and I kinda sorts do!
I discuss my training...that takes about 10 seconds and give you a quick equipment run down. I also reflect on actions or beliefs talking louder than words, it's all good stuff!
